$15,000 of Local Gift Cards Purchased for Knutson Realty Buyers

Supporting locally owned restaurants

The Knutson Realty family is hoping to help support fellow locally owned businesses and purchased $15,000 of local gift cards to use as closing gifts for our customers and buyers.

The Knutson Realty family teamed up with the developers behind Elk Ridge and Whispering Ridge at Hawktree to purchase these gift cards from locally owned and operated businesses throughout the Bismarck area.

“The outbreak of COVID-19 has brought incredible challenges to everyone,” says Cam Knutson, owner and broker of Knutson Realty.  “As a family who has made Bismarck our home, we desperately want to help ensure our fellow, family-owned businesses make it through these unprecedented times, so for us, this was an easy decision to make.”

The gift cards will be given as gifts to families and individuals who purchase lots this summer and fall to build a home; $250 worth of cards will be given to each family on the day of their closing.

“We always try to give families something special as they choose to build a home in the same community we’ve made and call our home,” says Knutson.  “We hope purchasing these gifts in advance, in this way, both helps our local economy and encourages other folks to visit and shop with the businesses we’ve grown to love and support.”

CREATING INCENTIVES TO BUILD HOMES IN BISMARCK

Gifts cards were purchased from locally owned and operated businesses such as Butterhorn, Toasted Frog, Nardello’s Pizza, Aleworks, Restaurants at Hay Creek Shops and others.  With $15,000 in gift cards purchased, 60 families are set to receive the gesture and will be given to families who purchase a lot in Knutson’s family-owned developments of Whispering Ridge at Hawktree and Elk Ridge, Northwest Bismarck’s newest development which is set to be announced and completed soon.

For Cam Knutson and his family, this idea is not one they are “selfish” about.

“It’s going to be a rewarding feeling to give these gifts to other families, and that’s a feeling we don’t want to experience alone.  This is an idea we’d love to see other business owners follow and use for their customers because, at the end of the day, building our community and home is what we’re all about.”
